When did you open your store at 44 Stanley?

The store opened on July 10, 2021.

Why did you choose 44 Stanley?

I chose 44 Stanley because its buildings have been around since the 1930s, making it the perfect fit for what Ifuku represents β€” sustainability

What is it about the place that makes it unique?

It feels more like you are out of Joburg for a minute, somewhere in a small French village in the middle of nowhere πŸ˜‚

What do you sell?

We mostly sell pre-owned good quality selvedge denims in great condition, brand new Nudie jeans and preloved boots. We have also introduced our very own home brand SHIGOTO IFUKU (work clothes).

Tell us about what someone can expect when they visit?

A personalised customer experience and of course, our well thought-out and designed store.

Services you offer?

We repair and revive old denims.

Your favourite store or space – besides for yours – at 44 Stanley?

It has to be King Cobbler.

One other place you love hanging out in Joburg?

I love spending my time alone at Father Coffee in Kramerville on Sundays.

If you were mayor for one day what would you introduce to Joburg, beside for a dress code?

I would try and help kids from townships with similar dreams and visions as mine to actualise their potential.
