The Library of Things We Forgot to Remember

The Library is an interactive audio-visual archive of black resistance. It was founded in 2017 by Zimbabwean artist Kudzanai Chiurai, and includes his extensive vinyl record collection of music related to different liberation movements in southern Africa from the 1970s-80s. The library also exhibits posters and pamphlets produced in the 1970s-80s, in support of Zimbabwe's independence struggle.

The library has travelled and hosted exhibitions in Harare, Cape Town, Kalmar, Södertälje, and Johannesburg. It’s next stop is Paris, later this year.

This is open Thursday - Saturday: 10am - 16pm
