A Valentine's Gift Guide #2 - activities to do together

Want to do something together but not necessarily the normal Valentine's thing? We've got some ideas..

Spend a Chocolate Adventure evening together at Chocoloza. Yes this is a thing. You'll taste chocolate, try your hand at chocolate making and receive chocolates! Book asap to avoid disappointment.

Have brunch together (during the week) at Salvation Cafe. We think having breakfast together is always romantic so why not take time out during the week to do it together. Try one of the benedicts, or the breakfast burrito. You can thank us later..

Spend a morning learning together at one of Bean There Coffee's cupping mornings. You will learn about the process of coffee from crop to cup and get to taste some delicious coffee. The next one takes place this Saturday, the 10th February and they are limited places. Be sure to book your spot soon.

Have a picnic at one of Joburg's beautiful green spaces, our new favourite is the Wilds which is experiencing an amazing revival largely due to the amazing efforts of artist, James Delaney. Not sure what to eat? Impress your partner with something completely delicious from The Leopard. They can also help you with food to enjoy at home - who needs a fancy restaurant anyway?

A Valentine's Gift Guide #1 - The Big Gesture

We're shaking things up a little and suggesting some things for Valentines Day that are a little different.

Here are some ideas for those of you that want to make a BIG GESTURE for either the person you've been with for years or someone you've got your eye on..

So bling is always big - but if you're going to really spoil the person in your life, choose something extra special like a custom designed piece by Sirkel Jewellery. The design and workmanship is just exceptional.

So who can forget this scene from 'Say Anything'? (If you're too young - it was an 80's classic rom-com). No big money, but there was no denying his intentions. Choose some great music - play him or her a song and of course, it's always more romantic on vinyl. Mr Vinyl has a huge selection of music from classic jazz to the latest releases.

A custom shirt from five8ths is just that - made for only one lucky person.  Perfect for any man or woman who appreciates quality and attention to detail.
